PRESIDENT'S CHRISTMAS MESSAGE
Dear Members & Fellow Wesleyites,
Moving into the month of December heralds the
festive season of Christmas. It also reminds us that another year is
beginning to fade away. During this period many traditional events
are organized to celebrate the birth of Christ. Whilst enjoying in
these festivities we should be mindful to remember and share with
all those less fortunate and under privileged people who are not in
a position to celebrate Christmas like many of us. Christmas is also
a time of reconciliation. As Wesleyites, we should shed aside all
petty differences and join as one big happy family.
The Old Wesleyites Sports Club ushered in the
season of Christmas with the traditional lighting of its Christmas
tree on the 2nd of December 2009. Since its revival the
club has steadily progressed to achieve a very high standard due to
the untiring efforts of its Past Presidents and their committees.
Very recently a hotelier who visited our club had tagged it as a
five star club. We as Wesleyites should be proud to have such an
infrastructure and be considered to be in the top league.
Gentleman, there is more to be done to improve
and complete the clubs infrastructure. All these improvements can be
completed if you make every effort to patronize the club and be part
of its activities. We are now geared to cater to your batch
get-togethers, re-unions, departmental chill outs and co-operate
functions. Supported by an excellent crew and managed by a capable
hotelier who counts 14 years experience in the hospitality trade
coming from a five star hotel background. The Manager is geared to
attend to your requirements and pamper your evening’s relaxation. He
is also available on mobile if you need to speak with him during the
day. So Wesleyites, why don’t you spend some time at your own club
networking with each other and who knows you may run into a long
lost friend.
On the 12of December 2009 the OWSC along with
the OBU have organized a kiddie’s Christmas Party which will begin
at approximately 3.30pm. The adults Christmas get-together for
Wesleyites will follow the kiddies’ one at 7pm. I invite all
Wesleyites to come and participate at this event. There will be
music to keep you entertained with food and drink available at a
nominal price.
Fellow Wesleyites, the Old Wesleyites Sports
club as in the past will continue to assist Wesley in its efforts to
see that future generations will have better tomorrow.
Along with my committee I wish every Wesleyite
around the Globe a Happy & Blessed Christmas and a Bountiful New
Year.
May God Bless All of You
Jeremy Brohier
