Ceremonial opening of the Re-turfed Lawn at OWSC on 15th September 2009
2nd Stage of the 3rd Wave Development - Completed
The 2nd stage of the 3rd wave development has been completed. The brain child of President Ivor Maharoof and the tireless work put in by the evergreen Rohan Amerasinghe Project Chairman saw to a great job done in a very short period of time.
This complements the refurbished carriage very well offering members great ambience and facilities. Its not only the newly laid turf - a lot of planning to the design has been done. Royal palm trees at the fence edge, rectangular tables with railway sleeper tops & a beverage counter provides a connectivity to the railway carriage.
The lawn was ceremoniously opened by the Patron of the OWSC Lasantha Fernando, Vice Patrons & Senior Members Lucky Goonetileke, Navin de Silva, Parakrama Wijemanne, Rohan Perera & Dynamic Project Chairman Rohan Amerasinghe.
We now await the 3rd stage of the 3rd Wave Development program initiated by our industrious President of OWSC Ivor Maharoof.

The 3rd stage will be the creation of an auditorium providing conference facilities with state of the art infrastructure. This project will be spearheaded by Maithree Vithanage with support from Jeremy Brohier.
