For the first time in the history of the OWSC, a pre-Sinhala/Tamil new year celebration was held on 8th April 09.
Lighting of the oil lamp by President OWSC - Ivor Maharoof & members present with traditional rabban sounds started simple proceedings followed by spread of New Year delicacies with tea.
