Munchee Schools Cricket Sixes 2011 Mahanama wins Munchee Sixes 2011 Mahanama College Colombo played superb all round cricket right throughout the tournament to be crowned Champions at the 19th All island interschool Munchee Sixes tournament organized by the Old Wesleyites Sports Club. Mahanama College shocked all by registering good wins over more fancied teams like St Benedicts in the Quter Finals & St Thomas’ MTL in the semis. In the final Mahanama who won the toss and elected to bat scored 76 in the allocated 5 overs. Sebestianites chasing a target of 77 only managed to score 70 runs for the loss of two wickets. Chathura Wanniarachchi of Mahanama College was adjudged Man of the final whil Pawan Devinda of Mahanama was selected as the Man of the Tournament. Tribute to the organizing committee who made sure the tournament was well conducted and upheld the good name the OWSC.
