| 18-SEP-08 > The Old Wesleyites strike up a new partnership with Ceylon Biscuits Ltd to continue the much looked forward six-a-side schools’ cricket tournament with the blessings of the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association. The sought after event is being held for the 16th consecutive year and from this year will be known as “ Munchee Gluco Fit Sixes”. For the first time the event will be held over 3 days with the final 2 days receiving TV coverage. It is scheduled for October 10th to 12th. This year 36 teams will participate (an increase of 12 teams from previous year) with teams from the outstation districts having the opportunity to play the popular schools from Colombo, Kandy & Galle. This year 2 teams from International Schools are also expected to participate. A launch of the Munchee Gluco Fit Sixes was held at the Wesley College Hall on 16th September followed by a social at Campbell Park later that evening. It will be a grand tournament with many added features and entertainment package on the last day.
