Lemonade Trophy Cricket 2006

  ‘Lemonade trophy’ Schools invitation six-a-side cricket Tournament 2006 will be held on 30th September and 1st October at Campbell Park for the 14th consecutive year. This tournament is sponsored by Ceylon Cold Stores and organized by the Old Wesleyites’ Sports Club. This prestigious six-a-side cricket tournament is the only schools tournament sanction by the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association. The tournament will consist of 24 teams allotted on a “first come first serve” basis inclusive of our commitment to minimize disappointment. All matches will be monitored and supervised by a three member Technical Committee.
 

Two day tournament with comprehensive Media coverage inclusive of ball by ball commentaries (first day) by Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation and Live telecast on TV Rupavahini Channel eye on the 2nd day. Clothing for the first day will be white and Lemonade branded T shirts and caps will provided by CCS for the second day.
Defending champion Nalanda College is on a hat-trick this year having won the Lemonade trophy in 2004 and 2005.

Awards 2006:
Champion team will receive the annual Lemonade Trophy
Runners up will be awarded with the Old Wesleyites’ Sports Club Trophy
Individual performance awards will be given out to Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Best Fielder, man of the Finals and Most Valuable Player of the Tournament
Individual trophies for the winners (8 players) and runner up team (8 players) also will be awarded.
